Ali gained his medical degree MBChB in 1991 from the University of Mosul in Iraq. He has been working as a Doctor in Australia since 2000. He has worked regionally in the Latrobe Valley , and in the Emergency Departments of Werribee Mercy, Royal Melbourne, Western Health, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital , The Northern Hospital and currently spends 50% of his work week as a Senior Career Medical Officer at the Epworth Hospital- Waurn Ponds Geelong.
Ali has a breadth of experience in emergency medicine but wants to learn the ropes of general practice getting to understand the management of chronic disease and to learn about skin medicine.
Ali will be working 5 days fortnight from August 2023 and taking some shifts in Urgent Care at Colac Area Health.
