Visiting Specialist General Practitioner

Dr. Brooke Beaumont

MBBS, FRACGP

Brooke grew up in the Geelong region and attended Matthew Flinders High School.

After completing her secondary education, she moved to South Australia, where she earned her medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 2015. She also holds a Diploma of Child Health from the University of Sydney.

Following university, Brooke worked as a doctor at Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide, with a clear goal of developing the skills needed to become a rural GP. In 2018, she joined the South West GP Registrar Training Program, completing her first year in Terang before welcoming twins—babies one and two—into her family.

Brooke joined the Otway Medical Clinic team in 2019 and went on to complete her Fellowship training in 2023.

Now a devoted mum of four, Brooke works three days a week at the clinic and also manages to cover shifts in Urgent Care at Colac Area Health.

She and her husband are happily settled in Colac and are an active part of the local community.

Outside of work, Brooke is a passionate cats supporter, as well as a talented artist and musician. She can also lay claim to being the tallest person in the practice!

Known for her kind and gentle nature, Brooke’s broad smile has a way of lighting up any room.

At Otway Medical Clinic in the spirit of reconciliation we acknowledge and pay our respect to the Gulidjan People of Maar Nation on whose unceded lands we work and live.  We acknowledge their Elders past and present, and the Traditional Owners of the land across the Country where we work and live.
