Background – George was born and trained in Scotland, gaining his medical degree in 1981 and his Obstetric and Anaesthetic qualifications in 1984. He has expertise in Acupuncture. George emigrated to Colac with his wife Ann and their 2 young children and began work at this clinic in 1991. After 32 years , he has recently retired as a Principal GP, but is planning to stay on working 3 days a week and hopes to continue for several more years. In early 2022, George experienced the joy of becoming a grandfather for the first time and his phone camera library has many beautiful photos of his granddaughter.
George has a long and proven track record of kind and careful medical care, and he has an unfailing commitment to quality healthcare delivered in a safe and professional manner.
Hobbies – George relishes the rural lifestyle with his beef cattle, trees and resident kangaroos on his farm at Barongarook. His is well read and loves to tinker mechanically with cars and tractors. His father was a market gardener in Scotland and George’s first paying job was a strawberry picker.
